Upload & Acceptable Use Rules

These rules apply when a family uses LittleInks to turn its own drawing or image into a private colouring page.

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Terms Privacy Children’s privacy Cookies Subscription Uploads Copyright Contact & safety Accessibility

1. About personal uploads

LittleInks may allow a Premium account to turn a family drawing into a private colouring page.

The upload feature is optional. A child can use LittleInks without uploading a photograph.

A grown-up must review the image and approve the upload.

2. What may be uploaded

You may upload an image where the adult account holder has the right and permission to use it, including:

  • a child’s own drawing;
  • a drawing created by another member of the household with permission; or
  • another simple image that the account holder is entitled to use.

The upload form shows the file types and size limits currently supported.

3. What must not be uploaded

You must not upload:

  • sexual, exploitative, abusive or unlawful material;
  • sexual content involving a child;
  • malware or a file designed to interfere with the service;
  • identification documents, school records or confidential documents;
  • images of another person’s child without appropriate permission;
  • material that unlawfully reveals another person’s private information; or
  • copyrighted or otherwise protected material that you do not have permission to use.

We may remove content, restrict an account or make a report to the appropriate authority where reasonably necessary to protect a child, comply with law or respond to serious abuse.

4. How personal uploads are handled

Personal family uploads are private to the account and are not placed in the public LittleInks catalogue.

When a supported raster image is uploaded, LittleInks applies technical checks including file-type, file-size and image-dimension limits.

Image metadata, including EXIF and GPS information, is removed during processing.

LittleInks creates a private colouring-page version and removes the original personal upload after processing.

The resulting private colouring page remains available to the family until it is deleted or the account is deleted, subject to normal backup retention.

5. How uploads are used

Private family uploads are used only to provide the requested LittleInks feature and related account functionality.

We do not use private family uploads for:

  • public galleries;
  • advertising;
  • marketing materials;
  • training AI or machine-learning models; or
  • sale to third parties.

6. Ownership

You retain any rights you already hold in an original family drawing or image.

Uploading a file gives LittleInks only the limited permission needed to process, store and display the resulting private colouring page for your account.

7. Deletion

The grown-up account holder can delete personal drawings and can delete the whole account using the available account controls.

Deletion removes the relevant live files, although protected backups may retain deleted information for a limited period before being overwritten.

8. Questions or concerns

For safety, privacy or upload questions, use LittleInks Support. For a copyright concern, use Support and explain which work or LittleInks page is involved.
