Children & Family Privacy
A clear explanation of how child profiles, saved pictures and family uploads are kept private inside a grown-up-managed account.
Privacy at LittleInks
LittleInks is made for families. A grown-up manages the account, and children use profiles inside that account.
We try to collect as little information about children as possible.
Child profiles
A child profile uses a first name or nickname and a built-in avatar.
Please do not enter a child’s full legal name.
A child profile does not have:
- its own email address;
- its own password;
- a public username; or
- a public profile page.
Profiles exist so children in the same family can keep their pictures separate.
Pictures are private
Saved colouring and personal drawings stay inside the family’s LittleInks account.
There is no public family gallery, no follower system, no comments and no direct messaging between users.
Strangers cannot contact a child through a LittleInks profile.
Advertising and tracking
LittleInks does not use behavioural advertising.
We do not sell children’s personal information and we do not build advertising profiles from the way a child colours or draws.
Uploading a drawing
Children should always ask a grown-up before uploading an image.
A photograph can contain information that is easy to miss, such as a face, school clothing, a home address or location metadata.
When a personal image is uploaded, LittleInks:
- keeps it private to the family account;
- checks and processes the file on the server;
- strips hidden image metadata such as EXIF and GPS information;
- creates a private colouring-page version; and
- removes the original uploaded file after processing.
Private family uploads are not added to the public catalogue and are not used to train AI or machine-learning models.
Deleting information
The grown-up account holder can manage family information from the account area.
Depending on the item, they can:
- delete a saved picture;
- delete a personal drawing;
- remove a child profile and its saved pictures;
- download a copy of account data; or
- delete the whole account.
If something does not feel right
If you are a child and are unsure about something on LittleInks, ask a parent, guardian or another trusted adult.
A grown-up can contact us through LittleInks Support.
